As part of the celebration of  THE RIGHTS OF BIRTH DAY, June 7, the professional community of gynecology and obstetrics spoke out publicly about the commitment to practice as prioritizing the rights of women and their children a dignified , with respect and humanity.

In the presence of the management of the Pereira Rossell Hospital, Ministry of Public Health and the Faculty of Medicine, they read a public  statement issued by the Uruguayan ObGyn Society, Iniciativas Sanitarias and Midwives Association.

Reproductive Health Service: Health Initiatives against unsafe abortion . Risk and Damage Reduction

The book was launched last month at the Women´s Hospital with the Minister of Public Health and lot of people present.

In these 10 years Iniciativas Sanitarias has been developing the model to reduce risk and damage caused by unsafe abortion with high impact on    women´s health.

Through the project with Medecins du Monde (France) Iniciativas Sanitarias is training health teams on Sexual and Reproductive Health within  Paysandu, Cerro Largo and Artigas.

The objective of strengthening the implementation process of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Services  promoted by the Ministry of Public Health.  Many professionals are actively participating in these training courses.
