Visiting health teams
A central objective of the Iniciativas Sanitarias and Medecins du Monde Project, is to strengthen the implementation of the Sexual and Reproductive Health Serivices (and now new law) in Cerro Largo, Artigas and Paysandu. For this we visited some health teams that are working very committed, sharing progress and difficulties at this stage.
We are training health professionals in the law implementation “voluntary interruption of pregnancy”
From CECAPIS ( Health Initiatives Training Center) and through the support of various institutions (Medecins du Monde, IPPF / WHR), Health Initiatives is working intensively training health teams on the implementation of the law of IVE (Termination of Pregnancy). Many of this courses were in the framework of an agreement with the Ministry of Public Health.
The courses are aimed to health teams, as well as to each particular discipline: Gynecologists, Psychologists, social workers, Nursing, etc. Hundreds of professionals have participated across the country, all of them are inserted in the National Integrated Health System.
